Usually when I get a spine tingle down my back I know I am in for a treat and boy was I ever. This 5 piece band is just what the doctor ordered for and indoor quarantine and I will be listening to their entire catalog later on, but for now let’s talk about how I enjoyed CASTING SHADOW’s latest single titled LET GO.

I like metal bands with dual guitars because I feel it adds range and depth to the song. The song starts with a BAH BUM of the drum and a CHA CHUG of the guitar and then the drums just go nuts and the guitar comes out with a sweet ass melody that continues throughout the song. With solos added in from the second guitar and the vocals just add the icing to the cake.

The lyrics explain about I would say anxiety. Doing the same thing over and over again and just loosing yourself worth. The key word in this song is “let go” and that is right, we all need to let go of our worries and just keep doing what we are doing. One needs to know that what we are doing has a purpose in life no matter how insane it might feel at times. One line that sticks out to me is “I will not break, don’t break me down; No not today.”

On a scale of 1 to 10 I give this song a solid 9 because, it is metal, it has 2 guitars and it puts a shiver down my backside.
